Where you are

The relationship has ended. You’re still trying to make sense of what’s left.

There’s the practical side of separation: different homes, new routines and working out how life is going to work. Then there’s everything happening inside you.

Missing your children when they’re away. Replaying conversations. Grieving the future you thought you were going to have. Looking at yourself and wondering, “Who am I now?”

You might be getting through the days, keeping up with work and doing your best for your children, while privately feeling nothing like yourself.

Whether this is all very new or you’ve been separated for a while, you don’t need to have the answers before you reach out.

My story

I know what it’s like to lose yourself.

Nathan Ellingham

I’m Nathan. I’m a dad to two children, and I’ve been through divorce myself.

When my marriage broke down, I struggled with far more than the end of the relationship. I was grieving the life I thought we were going to have. My idea of family, my future and my sense of who I was all felt shaken.

An earlier chapter

I didn’t like the man I saw in the mirror. I’d put so much of my identity into business and success that I’d lost sight of other things that mattered. There were times I drank to escape how I felt. I could keep myself busy, but I couldn’t keep avoiding what was going on inside me.

Moving forward meant being honest about my part in the story. I had to face how I’d prioritised work over my relationship, understand my patterns and take responsibility for how I wanted to live from that point onwards.

That took time. I began making space to feel things I’d pushed away, looking after myself and learning to respond differently. I stopped drinking and started building a life that felt more like my own.

“Your life won’t look exactly like mine. The work is about discovering what feels right for you.”

One of the changes that matters most to me is the father I’ve become. I’m more present. I can listen when my children are struggling, sit with their feelings and enjoy the fun and adventure of being their dad.

I’m still human. I still have things to learn. But I feel more grounded in who I am, and I have a sense of purpose that I didn’t have before.

That’s why I do this work. I know how difficult this chapter can feel, and I want to help other parents find their own way forward.

These photographs show a physical change. The deeper work was learning how to live, feel and show up differently.

1-to-1 coaching

Your journey is personal. Your coaching should be too.

Every person I work with brings a different story. What happened in your relationship, how you’re feeling now, your life with your children and what you want next are all individual to you.

Everything I do is 1-to-1. We work together to understand where you are, explore what’s keeping you stuck and find practical ways to move forward.

There’s space to be honest, to ask difficult questions and to work out what you actually want. I’ll listen, offer a different perspective and challenge you thoughtfully where it helps.

We’ll focus on what matters in your life, at a pace that makes room for both reflection and action. You don’t need to arrive with a clear plan. That’s something we can begin exploring together.

Questions

A few things you may be wondering.

Do you work with both mums and dads?

Yes. I work with separated mums and dads who want to understand themselves more deeply, rebuild their lives and keep showing up for their children.

What if I’ve been separated for a while?

You don’t have to be at the beginning of a separation to work with me. You might have settled into the practical changes but still feel lost, stuck or unsure what you want next. We start with where you are now.

Do I need to know what I want from coaching?

No. You might simply know that how you’re feeling now isn’t how you want to keep feeling. The clarity call gives us an opportunity to explore what’s happening and what you’d like help with.

Will I follow the same journey as you?

No two people experience separation in exactly the same way. My experience informs how I connect with people, but your coaching is shaped around your life, your priorities and your own way forward.

What happens on the clarity call?

It’s a completely free conversation where we explore what you’re going through, what you’d like to change and whether we’re a good fit to work together. There’s no obligation to take things further.

You don’t have to work out your next chapter alone.

If something here feels familiar, we can start with a conversation. You can tell me what’s been going on, ask your questions and get a feel for whether working together feels right for you.

100% free. No obligation. A chance to see if we’re a good fit.
